Sandbach town centre will be alive with music and stalls on Friday (December 2nd) when the annual Christmas Market comes to town.

The event is organised by Sandbach Town Council and will feature more than 100 stalls in Market Square, the High Street and the Market Hall.

Many town centre shops are offering late-night shopping as well as the Olive & Stitch Market inside Sandbach Town Hall.

Added to this, brass bands will be playing to bring festive cheer and add a real Christmas flavour to the night.

A spokesperson for Sandbach Town Council said: "Sandbach has one of the best Christmas Markets in Cheshire with an extensive variety of goods on offer and a really Christmassy atmosphere in the town.

"Whatever the weather, the town glows brightly on this special night, with choirs singing carols around the Christmas Tree, brass Bands playing, Christmas lights twinkling, chestnuts roasting and the aroma of mulled wine.

"More than 100 stalls cover the Market Square, spread up the High Street, fill the Market Hall and expand over Little Common. With Town Centre shops offering late night shopping and The Olive and Stitch Market hosting further stalls within Town Hall there is a wealth of goods on offer.

"The market runs from 3pm until 8pm and features hand-made or decorated goods and home grown, cooked or reared produce along with Fair Trade wares.

And for the first time ever, a Sandbach-based marketing company, Milkshake Marketing, has produced a map for the event.

Founder, Ellie Robinson said: "After a recent post I saw about the fabulous map created for the Holmes Chapel Christmas market, I decided to go ahead and create one for our own Sandbach Christmas Market.

"Big thanks to Sandbach Town Council for sending me all the info required."

Happy shopping and see you there on Friday night!
