Crowds of families turned out to take part in the weekend's big 'spooktacular' event staged by Sandbach Partnership.

And Sandbach's famous Saxon crosses got a makeover for the occasion - Halloween-style!

The event took place on Saturday (October 26th) on the 'creepy' cobbles and in St Mary's Church Hall and featured a range of 'horrid' activities and entertainment to get families in the 'spirit' of the season.

There was free face painting, a slime station and arts and crafts plus performances from the Saxon Players and Carney Academy together with street dance from Shannon Louise Dance Academy.

The event was supported by Sandbach Town Council. Chair of Sandbach Partnership, Helen Dorney and vice-chair, Anne-Marie Robinson, who organised the event, are photographed in front of the Crosses.
