Each year, the V&A Innovate challenges Years 7, 8 and 9 to come up with ideas which this year covered care, disrupt and adapt.
The top 50 students from 10 design teams, including students from Sandbach, travelled from all over the V&A in South Kensington, where they took part in creative workshops with designers, saw their work on display, and stood up in front of a full auditorium to showcase their design ideas.
The Sandbach students, team 'See Fashion' entered the 'adapt' category with a clever phone app for blind and partially sighted people to use QR codes to read out colour, pattern and care instructions for blind and partially sighted people.
Sandbach High School and Sixth Form college design and technology teacher, Tracey Shahlavi, said judges were "blown away" with the Sandbach students' idea.
"They worked together as a team and delivered a polished pitch. It's such good experience for the students and we're immensely proud of them," said Mrs Shahlavi.
"Their work was really inspirational and they took part in workshops to help further inspire them.
"There is some amazing work done here in this field and we're proud of our creative and inspirational students."

And although this year's competition is over, the school now hopes to start preparing students for next year's V & A Innovate National Schools Challenge.
