A takeaway restaurant with a twist in Sandbach is celebrating its first year in business in style with an eye-catching balloon display.

Shaz Balti in Sandbach's Welles Street chose another Sandbach business Horizon Event Hire to provide a colourful display.

The family-run business was set up by Shazlu Miah with his father and brother and they couldn't be happy with how the first year has gone.

Shazlu said: "We want to thank our friends, family and the people of Sandbach for supporting us on our first year of opening.

"It means a lot to our family business. It's been a tough year for all so we can't thank everyone enough for their support.

The enterprising business, which offers a delicious street food menu, claims to put the "bang" into Bangladesh.

A spokesman from Horizon Event Hire, another Sandbach-based business said: "Sandbach is full of independent businesses and we have had amazing support since starting our own business.

"So a big thank you to Shaz for asking me to decorate the restaurant for the business's first birthday and Sandbach Party Supplies for the recommendation."
