Sandbach United pays its respects to football legend, Sir Bobby Charlton, who has died

Sandbach United Football Club has paid homage to footballing legend, Sir Bobby Charlton, who has sadly died aged 86.

A spokesperson for the Hind Heath Road-based club said: "Legend is a word used far too often, however today the football world lost a true legend of the game.

"A European Cup winner, a World Cup winner, a player who could do it all and will be sadly missed by all fans regardless of who we support."

The World Cup winner sadly died yesterday (Saturday).
