Sandbach vicar retires after serving 25 years in the parish of Elworth

A Sandbach vicar has retired after spending 25 years in the parish. 

Rev David Page from St Peter's Church at Elworth has been a regular figure in the community and at the church for the last quarter mof a century.

Now he has retired and parishioners and well-wishers gathered at the weekend to watch his final services at the church.  

A spokesperson said: "He will be remembered by all those who he had helped over the years and some who had grown up over those 25 years from youngsters to adulthood.  

"We wish David, Kate and all his family well in the future."
