What's on in Sandbach is brought to you by our sponsors-  Swan & Chequers and Tigerbite.

It's a busy weekend ahead with lots happening again!

We've gone through and picked out a few but if we've missed anything, please let us know.

Every Thursday, we bring you our top picks of events in Sandbach happening over the coming weekend.

Don't forget, if your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for FREE with Sandbach Nub News.

Simply follow this link to our What's On section here and press the black 'Nub It' button to get started.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, October 18th

In the evening, the Swan & Chequers in Hightown has its happy hour from 5 pm - 7 pm and there's 30 per cent off 'Dirty Fries'.

The Royal British Legion's Sandbach branch has its annual 'Poppy Ball' at Sandbach Town Hall from 7 pm until 11.30 pm. Buffet and dance, dancing to 'Sue's Music'.

Choice support has its 70s and 80s fundraising disco at Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road from 7 pm.

Saturday, October 19th

Do you love local history? There's an event not to be missed in Sandbach Town Hall's boardroom. It's Cheshire History Day and local historian Stewart Green is displaying some of his amazing collection of photographs and documents. This is a link to a story we did about his earlier in the week here

Do you have something which needs to be repaired? Repair Cafe Sandbach is on at St Peters' Church Hall, Elworth from 9 am until 12 noon at an earlier timeslot for October with ample parking and good disabled access.

Repair Cafés are all about repairing things. You bring your broken items from home and our Fixers, who are unpaid local volunteers, will try and repair your item. You are invited to watch the repair, allowing you to take away not only your repaired item but a new shared skill!

It's also an opportunity to meet new people and you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and/or home bake.

Fancy some live music? Amen Brother are live at the Swan & Chequers with 'raw, funky blues' from 9 pm.

The Swan & Chequers has offers on Fridays and Saturdays. Saturdays there's four shots for £10, cask ale £3.50, cocktail of the week £7 or two for £11. Don't miss out!

Sunday, October 20th

Have a fantastic weekend!
