A popular Sandbach eaterie and pub has announced it's no longer serving food due to the impact of Covid.

DV8 in High Street, which has an outdoor area, has been a popular place for food and drinks for the last seven years but the venue has announced it is closing its kitchen.

But it has reassured customers that its venue in nearby Congleton will still be serving food.

DV8 Sandbach announced on social media: "It is with a really heavy heart that we have decided to close the kitchen.

"Over the past few years, we have battled to recover from the effects of covid. Along with the high increases of costs within the business, it is just no longer viable for us to keep the kitchen open.

"We have absolutely loved serving our delicious menu to you all over the past seven years and this decision has been extremely difficult to make.

"We remain positive and we will still continue to open for drinks service on Fridays and Saturdays for your much-loved cocktails and DJ nights, but for now, it's a huge thank you and goodbye from the kitchen team.

"Our kitchen at DV8 Congleton will remain open as usual, so we really hope that you'll pay us a visit for your fix of DV8 chips in the near future. Much love, Team DV8 Sandbach."

Nub News wishes DV8 continued success with its Sandbach venue.
