There's just days to go until a Sandbach shop, part of a national chain, closes its doors for good.

M & Co in Penda Way, closes on Thursday (April 13th).

A notice giving details of the closing date is on the door and at the till of the popular Sandbach store.

The privately-owned UK chain has blamed increasing costs and decreasing customer confidence for its downfall.

M&Co will be permanently closing all of its 170 stores around Easter - including the Congleton one as well.

An estimated 2,000 jobs will be lost nationally from these closures.

M&Co failed to find a buyer for all of its physical stores - with the brand now owned by AK Retailer Holdings at auction.
