Signed, sealed and delivered – Sandbach's Yarn Yarn knitters and crocheters are adding a touch of colour to the town.

And one of their latest additions, a military themed post box topper outside the Literary Institute to honour the D-Day commemorations, includes a sailor.

Sandbach Town Council launched the weekly Yarn and Yarn which meets up every Monday in April from 11 am until 1 pm at Sandbach Town Hall.

And since then the town has slowly been getting covered with their creations which included a spectacular transport themed display for Sandbach Transport Festival.

As we revealed in our article here it's hoped Sandbach will follow in the footsteps of nearby Holmes Chapel, Rode Heath and Alsager, who all have crocheted displays.
