A South Cheshire estate agent is continuing his campaign to help the people of Ukraine after his eighth trip to the war-torn country.

Gary Fear started raising funds for Ukraine after hearing about the former Sandbach School pupil Jordan Gatley (24), who was shot dead in Ukraine in June 2022.

Now Gary, who works for Butters John Bee in Nantwich, has started organising his ninth trip which will take place in September.

Gary constantly raises cash for Ukraine, this time taking around £15,000 which bought 900 bags of food and two generators.

"It's still as dreadful as it was in the beginning. The village where we were staying got shelled," said Gary who uses most of his annual leave going to Ukraine three times a year.

"It's just not in the news so much but it's still as bad."

Gary, who lives near Stafford, got in touch with Jordan Gatley's father to see what he could do to help.

"He came out with us on one trip and I will continue to do all I can to help," Gary added.

Gary says the latest trip was the most dangerous yet.

"My eighth trip was by far the most successful, most scary and most exhausting time but we achieved so much."
