Here are our top event picks for the coming days:
Friday, August 15th
It's VJ commemoration day - 80 years since VJ Day (Victory over Japan), commemorating the end of the Second World War. There' a morning service outside Sandbach Town Hall. At 11.45am there will be flag raising with the Mayor and Town Crier, followed by the National Two-minute silence.
In the evening there's an evening service at Sandbach War Memorial at 8:45pm. The Sandbach Branch of the Royal British Legion, and the Sandbach and Middlewich and Comrades Branch of the Cheshire Regiment Association will gather to lay wreaths at the War Memorial alongside the Mayor of Sandbach fFollowed by the lighting of the beacon at St Marys Church.

At Sandbach United Football Club in Hind Heath Road there's an Afternoon Tea in aid of Breast Cancer Now from 2 pm until 4.30 pm. You will be able to choose from a selection of sandwiches, savoury items, cakes, and, of course, scones with cream and jam, plus tea, coffee, or fruit juice.
You can also enter the special tombola, which offers fantastic prizes, including alcohol and beauty products.
A suggested donation for Afternoon Tea is £5 to £10 per person. Organisers have a target of £1000, so every donation will help this is appreciated. Everyone welcome.

At Sandbach Market Hall, it's the Friday indoor market from 9 am until 4 pm - a chance to shop local and look around a variety of stalls.

Saturday, August 16th
The Swan and Chequers has a daytime disco from 3 pm until 11 pm in the Courtyard Terrace. Final release tickets costing £22 are available here

Sunday, August 17th
Fancy some Karaoke? The Lion in Sandbach has its Sunday 'Krazee Karaoke' from 7 pm.
