Local sports company invites children to join an unforgettable summer holiday experience

Bookings for FREE summer holiday club places run by Sports Coaching Group under the HAF programme across Cheshire East opened today (Wednesday).
Spaces for the popular camps, which are delivered in partnership with Cheshire East Council, were available from 10am today (Wednesday, 24 June) with hundreds of children and teenagers expected to take part during the summer break.
The Government-funded Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides free holiday provision for children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals.
Available to school-aged children from Reception through to Year 11, the programme combines fun activities with healthy meals during the school holidays.
This summer, Sports Coaching Group's programme will run under the main theme of The Great Summer Showdown, promising weeks of sports, team games, creative challenges and themed activities designed to keep children active, engaged and entertained throughout the holidays.
Every child attending under the HAF programme will receive a free nutritious meal and healthy snacks each day.
HAF sessions will take place at a number of venues across Cheshire East:
Here are the venues:
• Chelford Primary School;
• Edleston Primary School;
• Holmes Chapel Primary School;
• Pear Tree Primary School, Nantwich;
• Sandbach School;
• Weston Primary School;
• Worth Primary School, Poynton.
Teenagers aged 12 to 16 will also be able to access dedicated HAF Teen Camps, featuring structured four-hour multi-activity sessions led by experienced coaches between July 30 and August 18.
Young people can attend through HAF-funded places or paid sessions costing £15.
HAF Teen camp venues:
• Edleston Primary School, Crewe;
• Holmes Chapel Primary School;
• Sandbach School;
• Pear Tree Primary School;
• Weston Primary School.
In addition, Sports Coaching Group's YouthZone at SportsZone in Moston Road, Sandbach, CW11 3HL, will once again provide teenagers with a welcoming social environment throughout the summer, featuring golf simulators, pool tables, darts, live sport and refreshments.
This is when it is open for HAF:
• Dates: 21, 22, 28, 29 July, 4, 5, 18, 19, 24, 25August
• 9am – 1pm: Structured teen sessions and FREE food;
• From 1pm onwards: Open access for families (food, drinks and activities).
