We have gone through and picked out a few events but if we've missed anything, please let us know!

Every Thursday, we bring you our top picks of events in and around Sandbach happening over the coming weekend.

Thursday, 6 August

Do you have children and fancy some summer fun? Castaway Play in Astbury has a fantastic offer - a summer pass valid until 1 September. You can use it as many times as you like between until 1 September and use code 'NUBNEWS' for 10 per cent off. More details here

Castaway Play also has Summer 'SEN Foam Sessions' - the next ones are on Wednesday, 12 August and 30 August. More details here .

Sandbach United Football Club are organising their third afternoon tea for Breast Cancer Now. Take your family and friends to the club in Hind Heath Road from 1pm until 4pm.

There will be a selection of sandwiches, savoury items, cakes, and scones with cream and jam, plus tea, coffee, or fruit juice. Special Tombola, with some fantastic prizes, including alcohol and beauty products.

All for a donation of £5 to £10 per person to reach an ambitious target of £1,500.

Wheelock Congregation Church Hall has its Friday 'Arts and Crafts Club' for adults with additional needs.

They meet at Wheelock Congregational Church hall between 10 am and 12 noon. The cost is £10, which includes all resources and refreshments. Carers are free of charge. All welcome.

Need to get fit and have some fun? Beginners Strictly Dance Fit class starts at Sandbach Cricket Club in Hind Heath Road from 11 am - 12 noon. Background to the classes is detailed here

Like flexing your brain? The Cheshire Cheese in Wheelock which recently reopened with new faces behind the bar has its weekly quiz night. Don't miss it!

Sandbach, Middlewich & Comrades branch of The Cheshire Regiment Association has its monthly meeting at The Lion in Sandbach at 7.30 pm. All Welcome!

Friday, 7 August

It's coffee and company at the Elworth church hall this morning from 9 am until 11.30 am. As well as their usual bacon or egg rolls, there will also be a selection of delicious cakes. All welcome!

Fancy some local shopping? Sandbach Market Hall is open so it's a chance to pick up some bargains!

Saturday, 8 August

It's Sandbach Makers' Market from 10 am until 3pm on the Market Square. there will be an array of stalls plus live music by Darren E, face painting by Wizard Of Arts and children's crafting with Little Sprouts.

There will be a selection of street food and artisan treats together with handmade gifts, homeware, crafts, artwork and more.

Sunday, 9 August

Elworth Grange Care Home in James Brindley Drive (off Booth Lane) has its summer fair from 2 pm until 4.30 pm packed with activities and fun. It's open to all and has non-stop entertainment from Will Malone, Cheshire Mascots, an authentic sweet trailer, The Pink Candy Club, face painting and hair braids, Sarah Sparkles and more! Get yourself along - lots of fun to be had!
