When Zoe Cooper was looking for a care company to look after her own father in his 80s she felt disappointed.

The company looking after her dad wasn't "up to standards" as the 48-year-old mother-of-two discovered one day when she dropped in unannounced at her parents' home.

She found her dad was being spoken to in a "harsh way" and she quickly arranged for a new company to look after her dad.

"I could not believe how he was being treated," said Zoe. "He was a very proud and distinguished man who like our clients deserved the very best care.

"Our role is to deliver the highest possible care at home. We pride ourselves on what we do and our caregivers are chosen for this very reason."

Now Zoe, who like the company she works for, Right at Home South Cheshire here has a string of awards to her name, much like the South Cheshire company she works for.

She joined Right at Home as deputy manager for Crewe and Nantwich in 2022 and in September was offered the role of Community Engagement Manager.

"It was a chance I eagerly embraced to spread the word about the fantastic work that our caregivers and office staff do at Right at Home.

"At the heart of everything we do is the question – how would I want this care delivered to my own family member.

"Good care doesn't have to be rushed. The client is at the heart of everything we do, thinking about their needs and wishes."

Zoe added: "Since stepping into this role, I have been visiting local sheltered housing complexes to give talks on how we tailor each care package to meet individual needs.

"I've also been working closely with local dementia friendly groups in the Sandbach area to support our community further.

"In addition to this, I've been reaching out to local businesses inviting them to sponsor our Christmas 2024 Advent Calendar, which we send to all of our clients."

This year, the advent calendar has been designed to stretch cognitive skills and as always, will help spread festive cheer during the holiday season.

In addition, Right at Home South Cheshire, based in Welsh Row in Nantwich, will have a Remembrance Tree outside with wooden plaques for names.

This will then be turned into the 'Tree of Light' for the festive season.

Right at Home South & Mid Cheshire continues to bridge the gap between exceptional caregiving and meaningful connections, ensuring ever client receives not just care but genuine compassion and love.
