Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, November 8th

Do you like history? Get yourself along to Sandbach library at 11 am. There's a history talk at 11 am by Mike Tingle. Entry is free. The free talks take place on the first Friday of the month.

Fancy getting your weekend off to a great start? The Swan & Chequers in Hightown has its happy hour from 5 pm - 7 pm and there's 30 per cent off 'Dirty Fries'.

Saturday, November 9th

It's Sandbach's monthly Makers' Market and a chance to get some Christmas presents with a difference! Showcasing the best of the North West at Sandbach this family-friendly extravaganza will have FREE children's crafting with the amazing Kraftykids.cheshire , local artists, live music by Marc Gallagher and artisan eats and sweet treats. There will be 55+ incredible handmade small businesses being showcased from cookie pies, artisan beer, brownies, rocky road, fudge, free-from bakes, doughnuts and more!

Fancy some live football? Sandbach United's first team is playing Heanor Town with a 3 pm kick-off. Support your local team!

Meanwhile on the opposite side of the road in Hind Heath Road Sandbach Cricket Club has its annual firework display which is a big fundraiser for the club.

Tickets can be purchased on the gate by card or cash Adults £8 Children £5 Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) £22 U5's free or you can buy them here Gates open at 5 pm. Bar open. Food available.

And you can take advantage of their Saturday offers - four shots for £10, cask ale £3.50, cocktail of the week £7 or two for £11. Don't miss out!

Sunday, November 10th

It's Remembrance Sunday with a march from Westfields starting at 10.40pm from Middlewich Rd with Roberts Bakery Band leading the procession.At 11 am there is a two minutes silence at the War Memorial and a service at 11.15 am at St Mary's Church.

In Elworth, there is a 10 am service at Elworth Methodist Church followed by a march and two minutes silence at the War Memorial.

At Sandbach Heath, there's a Remembrance parade and march from St John's Church, Sandbach Heath and a 10.30 am service at St John's Church, Sandbach Heath.

Later in the day, the Swan & Chequers has a fantastic free event to chill to after the parades - live jazz!

The pub has Alex Clarke, BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year Finalist 2020, British Jazz Awards "Rising Star" 2019 and Parliamentary Jazz Awards "Jazz Newcomer" Nominee '21 & '22 playing live at 4 pm.

Performing along with acclaimed musicians: drummer Dave Hassell, keys player Paul Kilvington and Ben Muirhead on upright bass. Entry is free of charge - this will be world class music. Don't miss it!
