An award-winning care organisation is celebrating Dementia Action Week by wearing blue.

As part of Dementia Action Week, Right at Home South Cheshire and Mid-Cheshire CareGivers and the office team will be wearing blue on Friday (May 17th).

The organisation, which has offices in Sandbach at the Literary Institute and in Nantwich at Welsh Row, also has Alzheimer's Society Forget-Me-Not appeal badges available to further promote this important cause.

Ben Selby, Managing Director at Right at Home South & Mid Cheshire said: "Dementia Action Week is a crucial awareness-raising campaign, and this year, the focus is on dementia diagnosis, urging the Government and the NHS to prioritize dementia in policy and decision-making.

"There are many misconceptions about the outcomes for individuals diagnosed with dementia.

"A common belief is that there are limited options for people with dementia, with the only choice being residential care.

"However, research has demonstrated that quality care at home can significantly stabilise the most common dementia symptoms.

"A healthy diet, suitable exercise, and cognitive stimulation have all been shown to positively impact dementia symptoms.

"At Right at Home, we work closely with our clients to ensure their care plans address all these needs.

"We are also proud to collaborate with Dementia Friendly Sandbach and have recently helped start a new Peer Support Group to support their members."

Carole Salmon, Community Engagement Manager at Right at Home South & Mid Cheshire said, "At Right at Home, we provide consistent and reassuring home care for people with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

"We are proud to support the Alzheimer's Society and contribute to their life-changing support and research."
