Friday, January 31st

It's the Friday market indoors at Sandbach Market 9 am until 4 pm - a chance to shop local and look round a variety of stalls.

The Swan & Chequers in Hightown has its happy hour from 5 pm - 7 pm and there's 30 per cent off 'Dirty Fries'. A chance to get out of the cold and warm up with some tasty food.

Sandbach Rugby club in Bradwall Road has 'Comedy in a Van' from 8 pm until 10.30 pm. Contact the club for details.

Saturday, February 1st

It's the first farmers market of the Year at Rode Hall, Scholar Green not far from Sandbach which coincides with the launch of their popular Snowdrop Walk as detailed here .

The walks open on February 1st the same day as the monthly Rode Hall farmers market. The barns and courtyard will be brimming with artisan food and crafts, the sausage and bap stall will be open and live music too!

The courtyard kitchen will be serving homemade soups, cakes and lunches! Wrap up warm!

It's one of the fortnightly childrens' craft workshops run by 'Crafty Lynn' at Sandbach Craftworks in Bradwall Road, Sandbach - this time it's tissue paper stained glass.

Each session features a different craft or artwork, with all materials supplied. £10 per child includes drinks and snacks. Everything made can be taken home. 10.30am - 12.30pm.

Fancy a drink or two? Take advantage of the Swan & Chequers' Saturday offers - four shots for £10, cask ale £3.50, cocktail of the week £7 or two for £11. Don't miss out!
