Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, August 2nd

The Swan & Chequers in Hightown has something different - it's bringing the streets of Havana for a fantastic night of live Cuban music with Damian and his band, Cuban Link.

Feel the heat as you are taken to Cuba to experience the Cuban culture, Cuban music, and salsa! Doors open at 7.00 pm with Cuban music playing. Cuban Link at 8.30 pm - 9.45 pm followed by Cuban music until 1.00 am. The cost is £5 on the door (cash only).

It's the Swan & Chequers' happy hour from 5 pm - 7 pm and there's 30 per cent off 'Dirty Fries'.

Saturday, August 3rd

Fancy an artisan market? Rode Hall at nearby Scholar Green has its monthly farmers market. An array of stalls to browse around and live music at Rode Hall in Scholar Green from from 9 am until 1.30 pm. There will be lots of seasonal produce at this month's market including fresh fish, meat and vegetables for summer barbeques.

Dawson Dean will be playing live and the courtyard kitchen will be open selling breakfast baps, homemade cakes and brunches.

Sandbach United are at home with a 3 pm kick-off at Hind Heath Road against Eccleshall. Go and support the Bach!

Sunday, August 4th

Elworth Grange in Booth Lane has its annual Summer Fair from 2 pm until 4 pm.

All are welcome. Browse through craft and gift stalls, enjoy delicious food and refreshments, listen to live music from a ukelele band, take part in lots of fun games and lots more.

The Swan & Chequers has John's Bebop Band at 4 pm. Not to be missed!
