A professional dancer who helps people in Sandbach keep fit and workout to new dance steps is to make the headline news himself – thanks to Nub News.

Maltese-born dance professional, Mark Farrugia, launched his "Strictly Latin Dance Fit/Fit steps" classes a while back.

Our sister site, Alsager Nub News, featured the Alsager class recently click and a BBC journalist spotted the story.

Now Mark's class in Burntwood, Staffordshire is to be filmed on Wednedsday for BBC Midlands Today. Mark also runs his class at Sandbach Cricket Club on Thursday mornings.

Mark said: "The journalist spotted the fabulous story in Alsager Nub News and contacted me to film one of my classes.

"The story was well written and the tone of the article was just right. The BBC loved it and wanted to hear more.

"I am delighted they are coming to film and my students are too. I will be wearing a special sparkly Strictly T shirt made by a student.

"Since the article in Alsager Nub News was published we've had more and more people turning up to the classes. "

The fun-loving professional dancer has danced at competition level at the likes of the Blackpool Ballroom, is passing on some of his skills to others.

He launched "Strictly Latin Dance Fit/Fit steps" after the popularity of Strictly Come Dancing, which prompted a dance craze among others.
