Families are set to have more food to put on the table – thanks to Sandbach Ladies Circle and The Pantry.

Sandbach Ladies' Circle did two collections along with The Pantry @ Sandbach Hub on the Abbeyfields estate and the Elworth Park estate in Sandbach at the weekend.

Kind-hearted residents donated tinned, long life and toiletries to the two collections on Saturday and Sunday, amounting to around 50 carrier bags of food.

Ian Parsons, lead organiser at The Pantry said: "It was a great turnout and effort by Sandbach Ladies' Circle and local resident. The donations are much appreciated."

The Pantry@Sandbach Hub was set up in October 2022 by the Churches of Sandbach to help those struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
