A popular eaterie is expanding and moving into bigger premises just doors away - after outgrowing its current building.

Holmes Sweet Home is moving into new premises in London Road, Holmes Chapel, to cope with growing demand.

The popular cafe and dessert bar is moving into the Miola building on September 1st following the closure of Miola at the end of August.

And Holmes Sweet Home say the move will probably mean taking on more staff to cope with an ever-growing number of customers.

Luis Cabrera who runs Holmes Sweet Home with Steve Allott says they looked for bigger premises in Sandbach and Congleton but couldn't find anywhere suitable.

"This property became available and we jumped at the chance. It is much bigger than where we are and has a conservatory and more kitchen space," said Luis, who is Spanish.

"We looked elsewhere in Sandbach and Congleton but this then came on the market. It's perfect for us.

"It has a fantastic outside area too and the conservatory means it can be used whatever the weather."

Holmes Sweet Home say they will be offering a cocktail menu at night and food such as nibbles will also be available.

"It will be a fun menu. We're taking everything with us from here. It's all very exciting," added Luis who hails from Gran Canaria.

Sandbach Nub News told here how Miola in Holmes Chapel is closing at the end of August as owner, Louise Metcalfe, wants to spend more time with her family and travelling.
