Sandbach's Deputy Mayor, Councillor Ann Nevitt and her army of helpers served success on a plate to dozens of people in the town today (Thursday).

Around 200 Christmas dinners and desserts were hand delivered to various names in the town as part of the annual event.

This year's helpers included Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Laura Crane and Sandbach Town Council's Chief Officer, Ceri Lloyd.

The huge turkey was kindly donated by The Wheatsheaf and other businesses donated vegetables and other ingredients.

The dinners were cooked and prepared by Andy and Aggie Milner who run Symphony Hospitality Catering based at Sandbach Rugby Club.

Names for those on the list, many living on their own, are collected and then collated into a list which is then organised into postcodes for the volunteer delivery drivers.
