Taxi company 'growing every day' is offering a service to the town after relocating to new office
A Crewe taxi company 'growing every day' has relocated to a 'fantastic' larger facility - offering customers in Sandbach and beyond the chance to relax inside and meet staff.
My Cab, Nantwich Road, officially relocated to its new office on Saturday 13 May - adjacent to Passage to India.
The Crewe taxi company was launched by owner, Mohammed Miah, 38, in March 2020 - just one week before the first Covid-19 lockdown hit.
"I've always thought this building would make an ideal taxi office - it's a dream come true in that respect," said Mr Miah.
My Cab employs five office staff and 17 drivers - as well as the work from Mr Miah and manager, Sarah Winchester.
The private hire service relocated from smaller premises on Nantwich Road into a new facility - offering a waiting area for customers.
Mr Miah told Nub News: "My driving career started off at Westside and I also worked for Abbey Taxis in Crewe.
"It cost a fortune to start-up My Cab. I've held it down and three years on My Cab is still here and doing well.
"We are growing every day. It's always about providing a good customer service and we always do our best."
"Our other office was good, this the new one is much better. It feels fantastic to be here.
"It's the best move we could have possibly made, the staff love it and I love it."
Mr Miah's driving career started off at Westside Taxis - also working for Abbey Taxis in Crewe.
The owner said: "Crewe is my home, it always has been. I have been to school, college and university here - I wouldn't change it for the world."
"My Cab's new location is fantastic. Nantwich Road is the perfect place for us to be.
"It is close to Crewe Railway Station, Crewe Alexandra Football Club and lots of local businesses.
"There is a constant flow of traffic coming past us and there are always people walking past.
"There are taxi companies that have been in Crewe longer than us, but we have a drive to grow and focus on ourselves.
"Since relocating we have seen more customers come into our office already."
My Cab offers a service to anywhere in the country. It is particularly popular for trips to airports.
Mr Miah expects My Cab to get even busier this summer - with no signs of slowing down.
The owner added: "Within the next 12 months, we want to increase our number of drivers and get our name out there with social media awareness.
"I've always had a five-year goal. We are now in our fourth year and it's looking good.
"We are all about being a work family. Everybody knows each other - it's not a numbers game here.
"This business is about knowing our drivers, impressing our customers and getting the right staff in."
Mrs Winchester, also from Crewe, was equally as delighted with My Cab's recent relocation and company growth.
The My Cab manager said: "Customers are really impressed with our new office. They like the fact they can sit down and wait rather than standing outside in the cold.
"This company is all about improving taxi services in and around the Crewe area.
"My Cab will take you to anywhere in the country. We are most popular in the day time.
"We are always taking people to and from school, work, hospital the Crewe Railway Station."
My Cab is open 24/7 to take your calls on 01270 665544. Email: [email protected] for airport bookings.
The Nantwich Road office is now open 24 hours - seven days per week.
