The three candidates in Sandbach's Elworth by-election set out their 'stall'

The three candidates standing for the one seat up for grabs in the Elworth by-election have laid out their plans as part of their campaign to get elected.
As revealed in our story last week click here.Elworth residents go to the polls shortly.
Nicola Cook is standing as an independent, Michelle Hough as Liberal Democrat and Dave Poole as Conservative.
Nicola says she will focus on the things which are important to Elworth,
She told Sandbach Nub News: "I will campaign to maintain and protect the green spaces on the Grange Way Estate and will work
with residents around Sandbach Railway Station to address the parking issues. "I always support the community I love and I will continue to champion local businesses – such as using an Elworth printerfor my election leaflets.
"I will use my professional and voluntary experience to champion, advocate and campaign on local Elworth issues."
Liberal Democrat candidate Michelle Hough is active locally on social and equality issues.
Currently helping to plan the town's first Pride event in 2022, she has worked with activists from a range of political parties on Black Lives Matter and other causes.
She said: "Having always lived and worked locally I know the area well. I support the public transport system that supports access to work and social networks.

Dave Poole is the Conservative candidate.
He told Sandbach Nub News: "Having lived in and around Sandbach all my life, it's time for me to put something back in.
"My family have lived in the area since the early 1940s. I believe that Sandbach is already a safe and welcoming community and I hope I have always been proud to consider Sandbach my home.
"I own local businesses, one being a vehicle breakdown and recovery company, and the other pioneering the fast recharge of electric vehicles stranded on the side of the road.
"If elected, I can guarantee I can give full commitment to the residents of Elworth ward and make sure their voices are heard at Sandbach town council meetings…"
The by-election takes place on Thursday, January 27th .
