Thieves break into a Co-op store in Sandbach overnight and steal cash

Police are appealing for information following a burglary overnight at a Co-op in Sandbach.

They were called to the Middlewich Road store at around 1.45 am today (Monday) after thieves had broken and stolen cash before fleeing.

The store remained closed earlier today to customers with the outside taped off while police continued their enquiries.

A spokesperson for Cheshire police said: "A number of enquiries are being made in the area and anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage which may have picked up suspicious activity around this time should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via www.cheshire.polcie.uk/tell-us quoting IML 1985713."
