All three received their highly commended certificates at the awards night at Reaseheath College in Nantwich.

Right at Home South Cheshire was a finalist in the 'excellence in collaboration' and 'ambassador of the year' sections while Daniel Matthius Architecture was a finalist in the 'excellence in customer service' section. The Stroke Survivors Speech & Language Support Group were shortlisted for the 'contribution to the community' award.

A spokesperson from the Stroke group, which meets on Wednesday mornings in Sandbach at Sandbach Rugby Club, said: "We felt very proud to have been shortlisted as one of the final four contenders in the South Cheshire, Chamber of Commerce Contribution to the Community category.

"We didn't quite make the top spot but in our eyes our survivors are our winners. We have been awarded as Highly Commended and we personally feel very privileged to have this acknowledgment of how we support stroke survivors and be recognised for the support we give."
