Time for tea - award-winning Sandbach teacher's London trip to meet other winners

A Sandbach teacher who was a silver award winner in a prestigious teaching awards contest was treated to afternoon tea in London to meet other winners.

Sarah Maile, a silver winner in the Pearson National Teaching awards 'Teacher of the Year' in the Secondary School category, enjoyed a trip to London yesterday (Wednesday)..

Sarah, who teaches at Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College, will have to wait until November to find out if she is a gold winner.

All the silver winners were invited to London and will now have to wait until November to find out who the gold winners are.

"We had the most incredible time at the teaching awards," said Sarah on her Social Media.

"I met some utterly incredible, inspirational people and had so much fun.

"Thank you so very much. Can't wait to see everyone again in November!"
