Cheshire East Youth Choir is set to be hitting all the right notes when they perform at an innovative open air church service this weekend.

The Church on Ettiley Heath's "Church 4 All" is staging an open air celebration behind the church hall on Elton Road on Sunday.

It will feature prayers and worship alongside plenty of music and singing as well as crafts of wooden people and sunflowers.

Leaders of Cheshire East Youth Choir, part of The Love Music Trust, will sing at two points during the Covid-friendly service to be conducted by the Rev Rob Hilton.

Church 4 All Ettiley Heath, set up over a year ago to inject new ideas into the Elton Road church, is ensuring the service is Covid-friendly.

Social distancing will be adhered to throughout and hand sanitiser will be available at the welcome desk along with a check-in system for those attending.

Helen Glendenning, one of the organisers of Church 4 All said: "We have worked hard preparing the service and we are so excited.

"This is a chance to showcase our work and show the wonderful things we are doing at the church which is growing and growing."

In May, the church delivered sunflower and herb seeds to members of its congregation for them to plant and bring to the church.

A dedicated sunflower wall has been set up for the sunflowers to be planted and members of the congregation have made and painted a wooden planter to plant the herbs grown from seed for a community garden.

Throughout lockdown, Church 4 All has held regular Zoom church services with accompanying music and visual representation, making them available to others afterwards via You Tube.

Mrs Glendenning, whose husband Andrew and four children are involved in Church 4 All, said: "We're so delighted with everything people have done at church and the results which look amazing. From small seeds grow life and this is clearly seen in our church."

The theme for this Sunday's Church 4 All service, which starts at 11.30am, is "loving your neighbour".
