Traffic turmoil: overturned vehicle brings Sandbach roads to a standstill near M6

Motorists trying to get to the motorway junction or Sandbach's petrol station at Asda faced delays earlier today (Monday) after a crash on the M6.ad

Queues of traffic both in Old Mill Road and Congleton Road built up earlier after one lane was closed on the M6 northbound for a while.

A spokesperson for Cheshire police said: "At 12.35pm today (17 March) police were called to a two vehicle collision on the M6 between junction 18 and 19 northbound.

"One of the cars was on its roof. The female driver of the car has gone to hospital to be checked over as a precaution. There were no other reported injuries."
