We're the champions – and two sets of young Sandbach cricket players can certainly say they certainly are!

Sandbach Cricket Club and Elworth Cricket Club have both had big successes with their youth teams.

The Under 14s at Sandbach Cricket Club, whose ground is in Hind Heath Road, beat Macclesfield to become the Cheshire Cup winners.

The club said on social media: "They stepped onto the pitch and absolutely smashed it, showcasing their talent.

"From the very beginning, our team showed determination. The fielding was exceptional, with some outstanding run-outs and catches that truly set the tone for the game.

"We extend a huge thank you to, Vedat T-Turkish barber, for sponsoring the team.

"Your support and belief in our young talents are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to further success together.

"Congratulations once again to our incredible under-14's team for their outstanding performance."

Meanwhile, Elworth Cricket Club's U13s also have something to celebrate.

The club's U13s have just become the U13s South Cheshire Junior Cricket League Cup winners.
