Polling stations opened today (Thursday) at 7am for the latest Sandbach Town Council by-election.
Voters in the town's Town Ward are voting for a candidate to replace former councillor David Jack who stepped down in January.
Three candidates are standing for the vacant seat – John Arnold (Labour), Michelle Hough (Liberal Democrats) and Dave Poole (Independent).
Voters are going to either the Masonic Hall on The Commons or Sandbach Rugby Union Football Club in Bradwall Road and have until 10pm to vote.

Councillors are elected by public vote every four years. Any vacancies occurring outside of the four yearly election may be filled by co-option or a by-election.
The winning candidate in today's by-election will join the four current Town Ward councillors – Cllr Ann Nevitt (Conservative), Cllr John Beddows (Labour), Cllr Steve Kirkham (Conservative) and Cllr Alan Smith (Labour).
