It's an action-packed weekend in Sandbach with the Transport Festival, Sandbach Music Festival and Sandbach Roar Fringe Music Festival

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, April 22nd   

Art lovers have a chance to soak up some works of art at the Masonic Hall in Sandbach where an exhibition by Sandbach Art Society opens for the weekend.

It is free and runs from 11 am until 4 pm.

At Sandbach Town Hall, the Comedy Night returns with a belter of a show lined up. Four top-class comics will be gracing the stage introduced by Jonathan Mayor.

Saturday, April 23rd

The new committee of the Friends of Elworth Park hold their first event, a tidy and weed session between 10 am and 12 noon at the park. All welcome. 

The eagerly awaited Sandbach Transport Festival, now in its 32nd year, opens at 10 am with activities in the town centre.

Look out for the Spitfire plane and an array of vehicles as well as music from the Sandbach Music Festival.

Automatic Annie along with The Coldplayer are both set to delight the scores of visitors to the event.

Sandbach Art Society's exhibition at the Masonic Hall on The Commons continues from 10 am – 4pm.

Sunday, April 24th

In the centre of Sandbach, Sandbach Transport Festival goes into its second day, starting at 10am.

The traditional vehicle parade will be taking place through town on Sunday morning with Roberts Baker Band leading the parade.

Sandbach Music Festival's Kev Lovell from the Zoo Takeover will be spinning the tunes on The Cobbles stage from 2pm.

Closing the stage on Sunday from 3pm, is Ralph TJ who is doing an extended closing set.

And at the Masonic Hall on The Commons it's the last day to catch Sandbach Art Society's exhibition which is open from 10 am – 4 pm.

For those wanting to keep fit, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.
