Zuzanna Goebel from Partou Kids Corner in Sandbach has been shortlisted for Deputy Nursery Manager of the Year at the National NMT Nursery Awards 2025 which celebrates excellence in the UK early years sector.

According to the judging panel, the award will go to "that exceptional deputy manager who is always present to support the team and their manager".

The award is given to an individual who has demonstrated "outstanding leadership and communication skills and commits every day to creating an inclusive and transparent workplace".

Outside, its large garden incorporates an eye-catching adventure playground enabling advanced physical and cognitive development.

Earlier this year it was rated 'Good' in all areas of activity by Ofsted. In their final report, the inspectors praised Partou Kids Corner team members for creating "a safe place for children to flourish and thrive."

They added: "Children's laughter is truly infectious across this vibrant setting."

Commenting on Zuzanna's achievement, Tyler Burgess, Partou Kids Corner Nursery Manager, said: "Zuzanna leads by example, using daily management walk-arounds to engage team members in reflective discussions, turning gaps in knowledge into learning opportunities.

"She actively contributes to team meeting agendas and delivers training in ways that make criteria clear and easy to apply.

"Her supportive leadership builds trust and confidence, encouraging open communication across the team.

"We are thrilled that she has been shortlisted for this award."

Samantha Rhodes, Partou Managing Director, added: "Congratulations to Zuzanna. She is a warm and dedicated leader whose positivity, expertise and genuine care for children and team members have been central to Kids Corner's success.

"Amongst her other responsibilities, she also supports new starters by demonstrating systems, processes and best practice.

"This 'can do' spirit was clear during the most recent Ofsted inspection, where inspectors described her and Tyler as 'the A team' - a reflection of their professionalism, teamwork and leadership."

Zuzanna commented: "It is amazing to be nominated for a National NMT Nursery Award.

"As a team, we are really proud of the work we do and delighted that the happy environment we have created was praised in the recent Ofsted report.

"Partou Kids Corner is a great place to be as the children set off on their learning journey."

The National NMT Nursery Awards 2025 will be presented at an evening ceremony in London on 8 November.
