World-famous Foden's Band puts town on track for historic rail anniversary
The band played and stood on the platform as Sandbach celebrated the 200th anniversary of train travel.
Sandbach's world-famous Foden's Band treated members of the Friends of Sandbach Station (FOSS) and visitors to a performance on Platform One.

Sandbach Mayor, Councillor John Arnold, pointed out the importance of the railway to Sandbach and its links to former locally based transport firm, Foden's whose band entertained with a selection of pieces.

The Midland pub also opened its doors for refreshments early at 11 am followed by a musical extravaganza from Graham Boswell and Steve MaGuire.

Congratulations to the Friends of Sandbach Station for putting on such a well-attended event.
