It's almost the weekend and there's a crammed weekend ahead in Sandbach to end half-term in style.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Saturday February 26th

Fancy getting out and about with your four legged friend this weekend? The Old Hall's monthly dog walk returns on Saturday and will be repeated the last Saturday of the month going forward.

Dog lovers and other walks are meeting at the pub at 9:30am for a bacon butty and a brew before setting off at 10am for a nice stroll around Sandbach.

The event is free of charge but donations are welcomed in aid of Sandbach Animal Rescue.

Meanwhile Sandbach Animal Rescue has a jumble sale and coffee morning at St Mary's Church Hall from 10 am until 12.30pm.

Cake, breakfast baps, tea and coffee will be on sale with jumble items £1 or less.

There's a chance to see local football with Sandbach United FC at home to Cheadle Heath Nomads at Hind Heath Road. Kick-off is 3pm.

A taste of the Caribbean is coming to the Military Arms from 4.30pm when The Sunshine Street Food Company will be cooking up a storm.

The fun doesn't stop there – Jon Stevens is appearing at 7.30pm bringing some top tunes to the popular pub.

Sunday, February 27th

If running is your passion, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.
