It's a scorcher of a weekend ahead in Sandbach with a comedy, the maker's market, pottery and sport.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, August 12th

The Rookery Tavern in Ettiley Heath has live music from Harry Holmes at 8pm - Indie, pop, solo and acoustic. Go and

watch him - he looks good!

Comic, Dan Nightingale has his stand up tour preview 'Working it Out' at Sandbach Town Hall from 7pm – 10.30 pm.

Saturday, August 13th 

Sandbach Makers Market is on from 10 am – 3pm with an array of art, craft, food, drink, coffee, music and street food.

There's long craft pottery session at the Potters Barn in Roughwood Lane, Hassall Green from 1pm until 5 pm.

At Sandbach United Football Club in Hind Heath Road there's a local derby with Sandbach United taking on Alsager Town Football Club aka the Bullets. Kick-off is 3 pm. 

At the Military Arms in Congleton Road, it's party time after pub manager, Emma Bateman's charity skydive. There's Kelley Tigerheart playing at 5 pm followed by Sophie Bond at 7.30 pm.

Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road has a summer party with some rugby first then at BBQ starting at 4 pm, followed by DJ Jepo at 9 pm. There will be an ice cream van, beers, ciders, ales, prosecco and more.

And more good news - between 2pm and 4 pm on Saturday at The Milk Box at Sandbach Rugby Club there are free milkshakes! Something to quench your thirst.

The Lower Chequer has live music - Nostalgia on tonight.

At the Lion, Cats Whiskers will be on at 9.30 pm playing soul, reggie, India and rock music.

Sunday, August 7th

If running is your thing, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.
