Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, May 30th

At Sandbach Market Hall, it's the Friday indoor market from 9 am until 4 pm - a chance to shop local and look around a variety of stalls.

Fancy catching up on some local history? Wheelock Congregational Church in Crewe Road has a local history collection on display organised by Rev Clifford Millington. It includes an exhibition of the history of Wheelock and the surrounding area (including Sandbach). The next one will be in two years' time. It takes place from 9am until 6pm and entry is free.

Saturday, May 31st

Sandbach Animal Rescue Society's popular coffee morning is back this Saturday (May 31st) at Sandbach Town Hall. It's been suspended for a few months (see story here) but it's back with a bang - and a toy and jumble extravaganza!

The tea will be hot, the breakfast baps made to order and cakes homemade. On from 9.30 am until 12 noon - don't miss it!

At Wheelock Congregational Church in Crewe Road, it's the last day of the history week. It takes place from 9am until 6pm and entry is free.

Sunday, June 1st

Riders taking part in a charity bike ride raising money for the RNLI with various routes around Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire set off and finish at Sandbach Rugby Club in a charity bike ride.

The RNLI #ThreeShires Cycle Sportive is a fundraising non-competitive cycling organised by the Crewe, Nantwich and South Cheshire branch of the RNLI.

Riders will be taking part in four route options:

  • 6km Family Fun Ride
  • 35km loop of Cheshire
  • 100km #ThreeShires main event. A loop of Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire
  • 141km Triple Crown ~ 100km, 35km and 6km routes back to back!

Have a fantastic weekend!
