It's an action-packed weekend ahead – Artisan market, open air concert and an art exhibition.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, July 7th   

There's live music at The Lower Chequer with Biff & JJ with classic covers and anthems.

Saturday, July 8th    

It's Sandbach Makers Market from 10 am until 3 pm on The Cobbles. An array of stalls selling everything from food to some of the best handmade goods in the area. There's also live music and free crafts for the little ones.

The Meadows Nursery in Hind Heath Road Sandbach is having a relaunch party and from 11am until 1pm! Call the nursery on 01270 762208 for more information.

In the evening, it's Sandbach's Party in the Park, the town's big annual event with live music and fireworks. Billed as 'picnics, pomp and pleasure', the event takes place at Sandbach Park with gates opening at 5 pm. Sandbach School big Band will be on stage at 6.30 pm, the world-famous Foden's Band at 8pm and a fireworks finale at 10.15pm.   

Tickets cost £10 for adults with accompanied children (up to age 16) free. They are available in person at Sandbach Town Council's offices located at the Town Hall and the Enterprise Centre (Monday-Friday). Any remaining tickets will be sold on the main gates of the park from 5pm - 6.30pm on Saturday (cash only).

Sunday July 9th

An art exhibition continues until July 20th and is open Friday – Sunday 10 am until 4 pm at at Hill Farm Gallery, Moston. It features a solo exhibition by local wildlife artist, James House, in conjunction with the Cheshire Artist's Network exhibition "Scenes from My Back Door".
