It's a busy weekend ahead with the big Christmas lights switch-on in Sandbach!

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Saturday, November 25th

Fancy a dog walk from the pub? Sandbach's Old Hall's monthly dog walk held on the last weekend of the month takes place with a brew and bacon butty at 9.30 am at the pub and a walk at 10 am.

At Sandbach Cricket Club in Hind Heath Road, there's coffee morning in aid of the Christie Manchester. Everyone is welcome lots of stalls , cake and more. It starts at 10 am.

Sandbach Animal Rescue's monthly coffee morning is on at Sandbach Town Hall from 9.30 am until 12 noon. There will be a Christmas Raffle, Santa will be paying us a visit at around 11.00am, Minnie Mouse will be popping in to say hello at 9.30am and there will be Christmas themed cakes for sale, Christmas decorations and Christmas crafts.

Sandbach United's first team is away to Maine Road with a 3 pm kick-off.

In the afternoon, it's Sandbach's big Christmas lights switch-on from 2 pm until 6 pm, with the countdown starting just before 5 pm on the Cobbles square. Live Performances from Jon Stevens, Frantic Fridays, the Shannon Louise Dance Academy. Strum and Bass and Foden's Youth Band.

There will also be charity stalls from Sandbach Animal Rescue Society, Age UK Cheshire, The Salvation Army and Sandbach Art Room. See you there!  

In nearby Middlewich, it's the big switch-on from 3 pm until 7 pm.

Sunday, November 26th
