Woman arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty following incident in Sandbach released on bail

A 53-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty as part of an investigation following an incident in Sandbach at the weekend has been released on bail.

Police said they were called to the address in Platt Avenue in the early hours of Saturday morning after reports a woman had been attacked by a dog inside a house.

No other details have been released about the incident. A police spokesperson said: "The woman has been released on bail.
