Woman in her 60s taken to hospital following two-vehicle accident in Sandbach

The main road going in and out of Sandbach came to a standstill earlier today (Friday) following a two vehicle accident near McDonald's.

Police said they were called to a collision on Middlewich Road at the junction with Chapel Street in Sandbach at 1.21 pm today (Friday 24 January).

A police spokesperson said: "A woman in her 60's went to hospital to be assessed and both vehicles were recovered from the scene."

Traffic was diverted away from Middlewich Road for a while while police dealt with the accident.
