Meeting venue - Sandbach Town Hall

A scheme which has helped nearly 700 vulnerable households throughout Cheshire East as they struggled to keep their families fed and a roof of their heads is to be discussed at a meeting in Sandbach next week.

Cheshire East Council is considering going out to public consultation on its emergency assistance scheme, last reviewed four years ago, to seek views on its effectiveness.

A blaze of colour

Van Gogh is famous for painting sunflowers and fields near Sandbach have also become famous recently for their colourful fundraising trail.

Alex and Simon Lewis planted 150,000 of them on Park Farm Crewe Green to mark their 10th wedding anniversary and the 100th year of being tenants on the Duchy of Lancaster-owned farm.
