A new indoor football and activity centre set up by two soccer fans is ready to kick-off

A new indoor football and activity venue with a difference housed in a former homeless centre is set to open its doors.
Former Sandbach United football club chairman, Peter Colclough, and business partner Chris Hall, a committee member at Sandbach United, have joined forces to launch KIX FC which opens on Monday (May 19th).

The aim is to provide an all-year multi-functional sports venue which fuses fun and sport for all ages and abilities, with a nod to retro street games as well as bang up-to-date ones.
The venue, which houses a 3G pitch, a street football area, crazy golf with a football, augmented darts and a host of other things as well as a cafe, opens its doors next week.
KIX FC, located in the former Macari Centre in Regent Road, Hanley, creates a space for both children and adults to enjoy football and other activities.
And as well as bringing a new concept, tagged 'from the streets to indoors, will also create up to 20 jobs.

Both Peter's wife, Judith and Chris' wife, Sue, are involved in the project, with Judith, an artist using her skills to paint many of the walls and designs. Murals by Stoke-on-Trent's Rob Fenton are also included.
Sue helped on all her days off from being a neurodevelopmental specialist nurse to help paint rooms. Son Adam Hall, who helped from the beginning, will also be working at Kix.
As well as a space with a 'Cost Kick A Bo Agen A Wall' theme, visitors can take on challenges and play games such as Kerby and Wall-y.
"We did lots of research to find out what people wanted and what was available in the area," said Peter, who lives in Sandbach but was originally from Stoke-on-Trent.
"We were looking for a space to house this in and the building in Hanley came up. We're delighted with how it's turned out and are looking forward to opening next Monday (May 19th).
"We want to offer something new to the area and South Cheshire. We'll be open seven days a week from 9 am until 10 pm.

"It's an entirely new concept. There's nothing like this which does everything under one roof. We're offering a complete football experience as well as other activities and people can do as much or as little as they like."
The business partners, both Stoke City fans and their families, have spent several weeks getting the venue, which features a kitchen and bar, up and running.

Chris, who used to head up global transport for clothing chain, H & M, said: "It's an exciting new concept which I'm sure will be well received. People don't want to just sit in bars now - they want to be doing an activity. We saw a demand for this."
The venue opens, at Unit 4 Park Works, Regent Road, Hanley. Further details are available on X here and here how to book are on their website here
