A Sandbach pub which closed its doors due to the economic climate is back open

A Sandbach pub which has been closed for nearly two years is back open.

It's a week today (Friday) since The Rookery Tavern in Elton Road, Ettiley Heath opened its door again after it closed in 2022.

Sandbach Nub News told here in June how  Star Pubs was looking for a landlord

The Rookery Tavern closed in October 2022 after live-in manager, Jess Scarlett, who ran the premises with partner, Alvin Khumalo, decided she could no longer carry on. 

A combination of the price of energy bills and a "dramatic" reduction in customers were cited as the reasons for closing as we revealed here
