A year on, is a Sandbach road junction any better or worse after improvements made over safety?

A busy road junction in Sandbach had a makeover this time last year following concerns about visibility for motorists.
Improvements were made to the junction between Abbey Road and Elworth Road after residents expressed concerns about safety.
The trees were trimmed to make it easier for motorists to see oncoming vehicles and road markings were improved. In a separate piece of work, the road sign was reinstated making it a no entry for vehicles over 7.5 tonne going up on to Middlewich Road.

Elworth Cheshire East councillor, Nicola Cook, used £2,500 of her ward budget to get improvements made to the junction.
Cllr Cook said at the time: "The visibility is really poor and all of us that use that junction will know that you have to pull over the junction to see oncoming cars.
"Working with both Cheshire Police and Cheshire East Highways I am delighted to confirm that junction improvements will be made next week.
"The trees at the junction will also be trimmed to improve visibility."
A year later though, is Abbey Road any better and are HGVs and vehicles over 7.5 tonne adhering to the weight restriction? Nub News would love to hear your comments.
One local resident commented: "The weight restriction sign is a joke. HGVs and vehivles over 7.5 tonne go up several times a day. They just ignore it."
