Cheshire Arts for Health based in Sandbach Art Room have come up with an idea for half-term which is literally out of this world.

The aliens are visiting earth and have chosen to visit Sandbach nor their vacation and Sandbach Art Room in Bradwall Road is expecting some visitors.

Landing in Sandbach town centre, the mischievous aliens will be hiding in shops and businesses from Monday (May 20th) until June 2nd.

Can you help the Sandbach Art Room find them all? Correct entry forms will be entered into a draw to win space- related prizes.

They are also hosting a "Design your own Alien" competition. Collect an entry form and draw, paint or collage your design and return to Sandbach Art Room June 3rd.

The winning entry, judged by the new Mayor Cllr Ann Nevitt and will be turned into their very own crocheted 'plushie'.

In preparation,1st Sandbach Rainbows and 4th Sandbach Brownies have created rockets and "Alien Underpants" bunting to welcome the visitors to the town.

A spokesperson from Sandbach Art Room said: "The crochet team and Art Room supporters have been creating the alien friends since Christmas.

"We hope that any monies raised will help to continue the children's after school club."

Entry forms are available from the Art Room in Bradwall Road from 10 am until 4 pm Monday to Saturday.

Both competitions close on Monday 3rd June. The draw and the judging will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday 8th June.
