Artistic twins unveil bespoke picture framing service putting Sandbach on the map

Every picture tells a story and for twins, Emily and Alice Wray, this couldn't be more fitting.
For the bubbly 27-year-old sisters have launched a bespoke picture framing business in the centre of Sandbach.
Wray and Co Picture Framing is based at Commons Mill near the Smithy Garage and is fast becoming the 'go to' place to get a piece of art, painting or photograph expertly framed.

The sisters, who grew up in Pott Shrigley near Macclesfield, both excelling at art at school, are using their finely honed artistic skills to display works of art and other items brought to them to display.
They have a vast choice of mounts and frames to choose from and each order is completely bespoke with frames being made up for each order.
Emily, who lives in Congleton and Alice, who resides in Crewe, have used their different artistic styles to fuse together a bespoke business.

"Framing isn't just about putting a frame on to a painting or a work of art. It's about enhancing it and making it look its best for many years to come. Works of art at to be enjoyed over a long period of time," said Alice.
Alice, who is also a graphic designer, plans to be based at the business full-time from September. Emily, who loves framing, also worked at a picture framers and was also a higher level teaching assistant in a previous life.
"I've always enjoyed art and this is my passion. I've worked at schools in Pott Shrigley and Wincle but have always wanted to do this," said Emily.
Orders are flooding in for their work and long-term the sisters would love to get bigger premises with a gallery attached but for the time being are more than happy with their current location.

"We're loving what we're doing and can't wait for the next year," said the sisters who've framed everything from football shirts to pretty scarves and even original concert programmes.
"We can literally frame anything," they said. "It's also great because you can hand things down in families for things to be enjoyed for many years to come."
But it's not just paintings which the Wray sisters are finding customers are coming to them to frame. Football shirts, silk scarves and original concert programmes have also been among their recent commissions.
"It's about displaying what is brought us in the best possible way and ensuring it lasts for many years to come," said the sisters.
"Things can be handed down in families and enjoyed by many generations - it's about keeping something beautiful forever."
