A Sandbach woman is celebrating after doubling the target for a charity dog walk challenge throughout August to help premature and sick babies.
Dog owner, Chris Price-Jones, signed up for Bliss's 50 mile charity dog walk in August with her two gorgeous pooches, Ruby and Zola.
The challenge was to walk 50 miles with your dog to support the 90,000 babies needing neonatal care every year in the UK.
But Chris, a specialist teacher with Cheshire East's sensory inclusive service, found she has doubled that and completed more than 100 miles and is calculating how much she has raised.
She said: "Families I work with often mention Bliss so I knew of the charity and I was delighted to help.
Long coastal walks in Wales helped boost Chris' Bliss target
"It was such a nice thing to do and we were able to see other people taking part and some of the walks they had done.
"I knew from speaking to families I work with how good this charity is and how much support it offers."
Chris even carried on her challenge during a holiday to Wales where she enjoyed three mile daily coastal walks with the dogs and her family.
"I downloaded an app to help. During the really hot spells in August I doubled up on other days when the weather was cooler," she said.

During Chris' day job, she works with visually impaired babies and children and wanted to do something to help.
"There are a lot of babies born premature who are ok but there are also those who aren't. This is a very worthwhile cause
Bliss supports the families of babies in neonatal care and works with health professionals to provide training and improve care for babies.
The UK-based charity hopes to have raised around £100,000 through dog walk challenge which ran from August 1st – 31st.
