Families from an organisation set up to help them enjoyed a Christmas party with a difference in Sandbach.

Sandbach United Football Club in Hind Heath Road threw a party for members of South Cheshire CLASP who work with families affected by the difficulties associated with lone parenting.

Families played football, enjoyed a visit from Santa and played bingo with lots of gifts and prizes for all and a great time was had by all.

Liz Clark, Sandbach United Football Club's Diversity and Inclusion Officer told Sandbach Nub News: "Football really does change lives in a very positive way.

"We had an amazing time at the party and are very grateful for all the help and support from the local community.

"We played football, enjoyed party food, Christmas bingo and a special visit from Santa. It was a really great party and start to Christmas for these families.

"All the prizes and presents were kindly donated by players, parents and local businesses. Special thanks to Brooks Butchers in Sandbach – a very generous voucher and meat packs.

"It's an excellent show of how by working together we can help each other."

Sandbach Nub News joins Sandbach United Football Club in wishing all these families a healthy and happy 2022.
